Winston's suggests that the party could be overthrown if the proles were to only realize their combined power. Winston believes that they are not intelligent enough to lead their own rebellion. This suggests that Winston himself believes that he should lead the rebellion. Winston claims that he realizes something that a group of others should do. This is a potential foreshadowing description of Winston's intentions.
